This print titled, “Fore” was created in April, 2011 as a tribute to my favorite game, golf. With close to 82 hours of drawing time this piece is my tribute to springtime and to all of us who can’t wait to hit the greens! After a long-hard winter, it’s finally time to get outside and play. Like so many, I truly enjoy the challenge and fun of a good golf game and I wanted to capture some of the history and those who have made this sport larger than life. As you look through the hundreds of images within this piece you will also see humorous references such as Caddy Shack and legendary images such as the famous “church pew bunkers” at the beautiful Oakmont Country Club. One area that is truly unique within this collage is the player’s head. Anyone who has ever held a golf club has experienced many or all of the thoughts displayed. Such thoughts as-“keep your head down, follow through, take your time, and of course, the idea of winning some skins from your buddies.” I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I do.
